Channelling Marant
Isabel Marant's wedge trainers are fiercely cool, but also wildly out of my price range. They're also out of stock, so doubley unattainable. To my delight I spotted a colleague of mine wearing a very similar - and more affordable - version by Ash.

Marni for H&M
H&M have been spot on with their guest-designer collaborations in the past- from last year's Versace collection to Viktor & Rolf back in '06; this partnership with Marni is no exception.
Marni is known for its streamlined bohemian aesthetic, which is demonstrated with incredible precision in this collection. I first browsed the pieces on H&M's site and was so impressed that I felt I should take a look at what they produce for their main collection over on Net-a-Porter. The attention to detail rings true, so much so that if I had to guess between high-street collection and high-end collection, it'd be a tough call to make. These are my stand-out pieces:

Seaview
This weekend my boyfriend and I went to the Isle of Wight for a post-Valentine's getaway. We stayed at the Priory Bay in Seaview and because we had made no concrete plans as to what we'd be doing we ended up having the most relaxing couple of days. Saturday it rained relentlessly, but we bundled ourselves up in parkas and Wellington boots and ventured out for a beachside walk followed by drinks in the pub in front of an open fire. I know it sounds saccharine-sweet, but it really was!
Because of my job I'm so used to having to think ahead and plan every minute detail of everything, so sometimes it feels really healthy to turn my phone off for an entire weekend and let time spent be organic and free.

Rituals
The title of my blog Wrap-Unwrap represents one of life's rituals that I love. Wrapping is a ritual - a sentiment- that is important throughout the year. From birthdays to Christmas, and new babies to Valentine's Day (today!), we wrap presents in beautiful paper and give them to loved ones, only for the paper to be immediately ripped off and usually thrown away. We're creating something pretty to show we care, even if it's fleeting and only lasts a short while.
Rituals don't have to thought of in a religious sense, instead they are life's enrichment; whether it's making a morning coffee or giving flowers to someone you love, rituals are purely positive acts that ground us and make us happy. With this in mind, my blog will explore and share beautiful things that make me happy. I hope you enjoy reading.
